What we have here are some middle-period and late tracks, the latter without the benefit of a specialist keyboards-player. They are in three parts -

1. tracks recorded at The Venue in London, in February and April 1980. These came straight off the mixing desk onto a dodgy cassette. Jamie spent many happy hours cleaning them up. Dr Hindsight spent hardly any time at all messing them up again. The mix is sometimes odd (it is meant to counteract or complement the sound in the hall), and the singing on later tracks is not good, due to various colds and flu. But there is material here that has never been heard before, and some peculiar versions of better-known tracks.

2. a rag-bag of miscellaneous tracks. By a quirk of fate the BBC replayed (on BBC Radio 6 - I never realised there was a Radio 6) Movies live radio sessions - 'power-pop anthems' - made in the Paris Theatre, London in 1980.

3. three from Guildford, early 1978. The sound was horrendous, echoing all over the place, and seems to have come from two mikes, one slung at the back of the hall, the other too close to one of the stage monitors. Dr Hindsight was obliged to chuck a ton of compression over it, and it's still pretty bad.
