By a strange quirk of fate, original tapes of The Movies came into the possession of a certain trusted associate of Dr Hindsight, and this associate - who happens not only to be a world-class drummer but also the owner of a prestigious studio - spent many happy hours remixing these original tracks. Who says miracles don't happen?

So, here they are. Instead of the usual top-down process of desperately trying to rebuild published tracks from shattered media, this is bottom-up, working from the original pristine tapes. OK they're not the original mixes, but there are touches in these tracks that were not heard in those original mixes. It's a new and refreshing view, and no crackles and pops.

(Dr Hindsight is thinking of leaving the country, in fear of revenge by the author of these new studio-quality mixes because - for reasons of web space - they have had to be converted to MP3. Oh dear).
